A new delvery cycle I devised to ensure constant flow of work and move towards an optimal level of performance.
This process was displayed on a number of boards so the digital SCRUM team could see the movement of user stories from early creation and source through to development and deployment. This simple cycle enabled constant work to be delivered and getting the team to work at an optimal level of velocity which they were comfortable with.
Using typical GDS sytle methods, this process helped to shape the product and deliver on what the user really wanted.
This was an interative process from primary research to proptoyping, to deliver on the right solution.
Previously, this visual interpretation of user storeis movement / evolution was very disjointed. 4 boads were combined into 2 that showed in one view the true sequential story of user story movement from the source to deployment.
This became the center of daily stand-ups and discussion. This visual tool provied serveral facts on velocity, blockages, progress and reporting.
Photo of me and my team at daily stand up around the sprint boards. Undertanding progress, reviewing blockers, troubleshooting problems. Reviewing the project holistically with the team on a daily basis.
Working through each user story to ensure the development team fully understand the story and there was no ambuigity in meaning or purpose in the story or the acceptance criteria.
Preparing for and orchestrating the retrospectives sessions. Delivering on new games and tatsks every sprint to surface people thoughts, moods and feelings.
I created this o provide the team and the organisation clarity on what activities where being carried out when, in the delivery of service enhacements.
This represented the forecasted digital solutions that were planned for the year.
